Our Story

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the $300 billion digital marketing industry to create more meaningful conversations with consumers that lead to real business outcomes and inPowered has been leading the charge with the mission to solve content marketing’s ROI problem.

It was 2014 and the founders had just sold their last company, NetShelter, to Ziff Davis as the largest tech media network on the internet (at the time). Co-Founders Peyman & Pirouz had experienced firsthand from their journey that banner ads and other forms of interruptive advertising were failing digital marketers and consumers alike and there had to be a better way to engage consumers online. It was Pirouz that came up with the idea: “What if we helped consumers to read content from a brand, instead of forcing them to click on a banner ad?” This initial idea was the start of inPowered.

Since then inPowered has grown to become the AI platform delivering business outcomes with content marketing. Powered by Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, the company’s Content Intelligence and Content Distribution solutions allow marketers to drive real ROI with Content Marketing – positively changing brand perception, increasing action taken onsite, lead generation, and user engagement.

In 2020, the company made the Inc5000 list of American’s fastest-growing companies for the first time, ranking 9th in the San Francisco/Bay area for Marketing. The company’s AI-technology has been recognized by the ANA (Association of National Advertisers) for the “Best Use of AI” in business-to-business marketing; and also placed as finalists in the MediaPost OMMA Awards, Digiday Tech & Content Marketing Awards, The Drum Awards, and Content Marketing Awards.

Meet the Founders

The company was created by Peyman and Pirouz Nilforoush in 2014, who have a storied history of success in Silicon Valley. Their first company, NetShelter, was founded in 1999 and sold in 2013 to Ziff Davis as the largest tech media platform on the internet. This evolution from display advertising to content distribution, and now Content Intelligence, has been a natural progression led by the brother’s expertise in pairing technological advancements with a steadfast pulse on where the digital marketing industry is headed next.

inPowered’s recent industry recognition as a leading pioneer in content marketing is a direct result of the hustle and relentless dedication of its team; instilled by Peyman and Pirouz as one of the company’s foundational building blocks that’s been critical to its increasing success. “When my brother and I founded inPowered almost 7 years ago, we could only dream of having a team that’s so dedicated and passionate behind our mission to help brands deliver real business outcomes and ROI through content marketing,” said Peyman Nilforoush, CEO and Co-Founder.
